The International Conference «Prague Dialogue on Europe in the 21st Century» will be held in Prague, the Czech Republic, May 13 -15, 2009. The conference is convened by the World Public Forum «Dialogue of Civilizations» and the Czech NGO «Club Russia» and will take place in the oldest friary in Bohemia — the Brevnov Monastery.

The forthcoming Conference in Prague will focus on such subjects as the world economic crisis and situation in Eastern Europe, the role and the stance of young people in the changing model of socio-economic development, the economic, political, legal and cultural aspects of migration processes in European space, dialogue of religions and dialogue of cultures in Europe.
The Conference will be held under the aegis of the Chairman of Chamber of Deputies of Czech Republic Parliament Miloslav Vl?ek and co-chaired by former Prime-Minister of Czech Republic Milo? Zeman and President of the «Russian Railways» JSC, World Public Forum «Dialogue of Civilizations» Founding President Vladimir Yakunin.
The Conference will be attended by the President of the Slovak Republic Ivan Ga?parovi? and the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico, former Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer, former Secretary General of the Council of Europe Walter Schwimmer, Head of the Council of the Federation Commission of Russia on Culture Alexander Dzasokhov, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yevgeny Primakov, President of the International Progress Organization Dr. Hans Koechler, Co-chair of the Association for International Mobility Brunson McKinley, Metropolitan Christopher of the Czech Lands and Slovakia and other prominent politicians, representatives of business and economic spheres, non-governmental organizations, academic institutes and research centers who are involved in resolving of the practical problems of modern world agenda.
The Conference will work in the format of two plenary sessions and four panels.
Panel 1 «The economic crisis and the potential of social-political decisions»
Short survey: the process of compulsory globalization is obviously leading to disproportions in economic development. While tackling this problem, it is necessary to take into account the cycles and processes of transforming economic systems in order to ensure social stability.
The main vectors of discussion at Panel 1:
— world outlook principles of forming economic systems;
— the economic potential and social-political innovation, the influence of the state on the parameters of contemporary development;
— cycles and processes of transforming economic systems and international cooperation in conditions of the crisis;
— economic security and social stability.
Panel 2 «Young people and problems of contemporary development».
Short survey: the special role and stance of young people in the social processes evolving in the recent events in European capitals demonstrate that the young people are involved in the dialogue concerning the prospects of social development.
The main vectors of discussion at Panel 2:
— the future of young people in changing Europe;
— the social content of youth manifestations in Europe;
— the youth format of the interethnic and inter-confessional dialogue;
— student exchanges: problems and prospects.
Panel 3 «Inter-confessional cooperation as a factor for averting civilization and social conflicts».
Short survey: the deep-lying traditions and the potentials of religious organizations and inter-church contacts will make a priceless contribution to the matter of perfecting the public dialogue and at the same time, will provide a practical sphere for implementing the truths and strengthening of their revelations.
The main vectors of discussion at Panel 3:
— social orientation of the confessional programs;
— inter-confessional dialogue and international cooperation.
Panel 4 «International mobility: to the dialogue of cultures through communication».
Short survey: population mobility is a fundamental condition for the existence of mankind. It is the key factor that forms the image, identity and the future of civilizations.
The main vectors of discussion at Panel 4:
— processes of socio-cultural dynamics and population mobility;
— the religious factor in migration policy;
— social-political motives of migration process in conditions of the crisis;
— international mobility and mechanisms for ensuring social stability
