Vladimir Kulikov
Executive Secretary, World Public Forum "Dialogue of Civilizations"

Dear Mr. Kulikov,

I was supposed to greet you for the Mary Christmas and. the New Year but the situation in our area due to brutal, barbaric, and unjustified attacks by Israel on the innocent people including women, and children in our area has stunned and shocked us. I am sure that yoa know that the teachings of all the Prophets of Allah do not allow killing of innocent people in anyway as well as by anyone and depriving of their rights to live as peaceful citizens in their homelands. At this moment I wonder how we can share or celebrate Christmas and the New Year amid this frightening situation.

Let us hope that the peace and tranquility will restore and prevail again in annihilated area and the people will start their normal life starting from the beginning of the year 2009. Let us also hope that in the years ahead the peace will prevail in the homelands of all the Prophets (Moses, Jesus, & Mohammad: may peace be upon all) which was supposed to be the best and peaceful area in the world. I would also like to mention here that it is a universal truth that the Justice, peace and harmony which all of us want is. the only way to make this world a peaceful place for followers of all the religions through dialogue and not by violence.

With best regards,

Sincerely yours,

Faisal A. Al-Muaammar
