A major international conference organized by the United Nations University and the University of Alberta titled "Towards 'the Dignity of Difference': Neither 'the Clash of Civilizations' nor 'the End of History'" with keynote address from Benjamin Barber, Robert Cox, Hassan Hanafi, and Fred Dallmayr will take place in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) on 2-4 October 2009. The Seventh Annual Session of the World Public Forum (WPF) “Dialogue of Civilizations” will be held on the Island of Rhodes (Greece) from the 8th to the 12th of October 2009.
