Conference_Canada09_logo_01A major international conference organized by the United Nations University and the University of  Alberta titled "Towards 'the Dignity of Difference': Neither 'the Clash of Civilizations' nor 'the End of History'" with keynote address from Benjamin Barber, Robert Cox, Hassan Hanafi, and Fred Dallmayr will take place in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) on 2-4 October 2009.

If you are interested in participating in the Seventh Session of the World Public Forum “Dialogue of Civilizations”, please submit by 25 August 2009:

  • CV
  • panel/round table in which you would like to participate
  • an extended abstract of 500–1,000 words, outlining the main issues, hypotheses and structure of your paper
  • full contact details

World Public Forum Dialogue of CivilizationsThe Seventh Annual Session of the World Public Forum (WPF) “Dialogue of Civilizations” will be held on the Island of Rhodes (Greece) from the 8th to the 12th of October 2009. The Forum participants will express their opinions and views on the most pressing present-day problems in format of plenary and panel sessions, round tables and presentations.
