The International Conference “Role of Historical and Cultural Heritage in the Dialogue of Civilizations” will be held in Almaty, the Republic of Kazakhstan, June 08-11 2009. The Conference is organized by the World Public Forum “Dialogue of Civilizations” and “The Institute of Cultural Policy and Art Studies” of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The forthcoming Kazakhstan Conference will focus on such subjects as the role of common historical past and cultural heritage of peoples in mutual coexistence and dialogue of civilizations. During the Conference the participants will discuss new perspectives in development of understanding and good neighbourliness relations and involving in this process a considerable potential of the Central Asia.
The Kazakhstan Conference will bring together representatives of non-governmental, non-commercial organizations, experts from scientific institutes and research centres, leading politicians which try to investigate and unravel practical problems of “dialogue of civilizations”.
The Conference is supported by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev, the Ruling Party of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Nur-Otan” and the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Conference will take place in the “Alatau” Hotel Resort, Almaty, the Republic of Kazakhstan.
