Priest, Dean, the Church of the most Orthodox Prince St. Alexander Nevsky in Kozhukhovo
Vladimir Silovyev graduated from Mocow Ecclesiastical Academy. He holds PhD in Theology.
Since 2005 Vladimir Silovyev is a Dean of the Church of the most Orthodox Prince St. Alexander Nevsky in Kozhukhovo, which was built for the 60th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War Victory.
He is the head editor of the Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate and editor-in-chief of the Moscow Patriarchate Magazine and the Tserkovny Vestnik newspaper.
Since 1998 he is a chairperson of the Art Study Commission of the Diocesan Council of Moscow. The Art Study Commission was blessed to be found by His Holiness Patriarch Alexius II of Moscow and all Russia in 1995.
Since 1989 he is also a dean of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in the Old Simonovo.
In 1985 he was ordained to deacon, then he was ordained to presbyter. At that time he served at several Moscow churches: the Theotokos Transfiguration Church, the Church of St. John the Warrier in Yakimanka street, the Church of the Joy of all who Sorrow icon at Kalitnikovskoye cemetery.
