On 22 April 2015, the annual concert and presentation of the Musical Olympus Festival will take place at Carnegie Hall.
Nine years in a row young talented musicians, participants of the Musical Olympus Festival in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) and winners of prestigious international competitions, perform on this legendary stage.
The concert will feature Ao Li, bass-baritone form China; Vasilisa Berzhanskaya, Russian soprano; Nikki Chooi, violinist from Canada and Kian Soltani, Austrian cellist of Persian origin.
The artists have been awarded top prizes at prestigious international competitions, including: The Placido Domingo’s Operalia, the World Opera Competition, (Italy, 2013); “Grand Opera” Vocal Competition of the Kultura TV Channel, (Russia, 2014); The Michael Hill International Violin Competition, (New Zealand, 2013); The International Paulo Cello Competition, (Finland, 2013).
They will perform works by Debussy, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Ravel, Gershwin, Poulenc, Kalman.
Concerts of the Musical Olympus Festival at Carnegie Hall are organized with the support of the World Public Forum “Dialogue of Civilizations”. The Musical Olympus Foundation that celebrates 20th anniversary in 2015, realizes its global objectives: to establish and develop intercultural dialogue through music as a universal language. The Foundations’ achievements in this area have been distinguished at the international level – in January 2013 the Foundation was honored with the Silver Archer Award (US), a prestigious public relations trophy.
